B2 Visa for Mom before getting H1B Visa stamp

Hi,

I came to USA to do my masters. I got a job during my OPT period and the same company I work for applied for my H1B and I was approved for H1B.

I am now going to India to get my H1B visa stamped. Alongside, I would like to apply a B2 visa for my mom. I would like to know if I can schedule a visa appointment on the same day for both my mom and myself. I'm not sure if my mom can go for a B2 visa, without me getting a H1B visa stamp in my passport.

Please advice.

Your H1B visa has nothing to do with your mom's B2. You can schedule your interviews for same day but not together.

You can definitely schedule Visa Interviews on the same day...BUT your H1B has no connection to your mom's B2 visa. You are NOT sponsoring her as there is no sponsorship involved.
