H4-H1: Husband H1 extension and My H1 Approval at Same time

1) My Husband's H1B getting extended in a week  and his company is requesting details for the extension. Now my H1 is approved and active from 1st Oct 2014.Should my husband inform his company about my legal status change from H4 to h1 and not to extend my h4 through his company?

 

 

 

2)What could be consequences if we don't inform his company about my COS?

 

 

 

 

3)If in future I want to convert back to h4,will my husband company do it or should I do such on my own expense?

 

 

 

 

Please provide assistance as early as possible.

1. Yes, that should be ok.

2. No issues. But it wouldn't hurt to inform.

2. If they file your H4 extension and it gets approved then you will go back to H4 status and cease to be on H1B.

3. Depends on your spouse employer's policy.
