Rakee Posted September 26, 2014 Report Share Posted September 26, 2014 Hi Experts, I am planning to bring my mom to USA, she already has a visitor visa for 6 more years but her passport is expiring in Jan 2015, I am planning to bring her by end of Oct and return by end of Nov( 1 month trip). It may not be possible to renew the passport now. So I was wondering can she travel with that passport which is expiring soon? or she should postpone her trip? Please advise. itsmeusa Posted September 26, 2014 Report Share Posted September 26, 2014 CBP officer may not give her stay for 6 months, they may give her stay upto passport expiry. You don't want that, right? Better renew the passport in India under Tatkal - she could get it within couple of weeks. Link to comment
