I got my H1b visa approved I-797 which says visa valid from Oct 1st 2014 till 2017. Question : 1) is there any grace period when I can switch to my H1b status? 2)My L1b will automatically be invalid from 30th September 2014? 3) Does I need to submit any docs to USCIS to change my status ? But, you have to stop working for L1B employer from Oct 1st. 2. Yes, if H1B was approved as COS. 3. If approved as COS then nothing. Link to comment
