harsha.mvenkata
I will be traveling to US on H1B visa for the first time in a few days. I had previously travelled on a F1 Visa. I am little confused about the formalities related to I 94. I have a I 797 A with me, which has a I94 attached to it at the bottom. Do I need to tear the card and hand it over to the immigration officer at the port of entry? What are the other formalities at the port of entry ? Link to comment
itsmeusa
You need to show - Passport with the visa stamped page + I-797A original approval copy. While entering, you don't need to surrender I-94. If you show, IO will keep it with him. Link to comment
rahul412
Didn't you left your I94 when you left US?? Link to comment
JoeF
You were supposed to hand that I-94 in when you left. You will get a new I-94 when you enter, all electronic. Link to comment

Submit any other documents requested by immigration officer and answer truthfully. Link to comment
