H4 extension and H1-B applied

Hello,

 

My H-4 visa will get expired on NOv-2014.But I will get the extension along with my husbands H1-B visa.Now we are planning to apply for my H1-B visa next March 2015.Can I make a travel to India after applying for visa for a month say in April or May?Or should I stay here in USA until I get my H1-B visa.

If you travel before your H1B approval then your COS is considered abandoned though your H1B petition may get approved. To start working from Oct 1st you need to exit and enter US with a valid H1B visa and I797.
