Venky87
Hi, Currently I am working for a for profit organisation( my h1b application was filed under the quota, went through lottery process and approved in 2013 and started working from Oct 1 2013, and still under 6 years of my H1B). Now I got a job offer from Non profit organisation. My question is. If I accept the offer from non profit organisation how it will effect my future opportunities in transferring my H1B visa ? If in case i want to transfer my H1b from non profit to profit say 1 year from now. Can I do it without any problems or would I be counted for H1B cap again? Thanks for your help in advance Link to comment
JoeF
Once you have been counted for the quota and you haven't used the full 6 years, you are not counted again, and you can switch between for-profit and non-profit organizations without problems. Link to comment
jairichi
1. No effect on your future H1B petitions. 2. Yes. No problem. You will be cap exempt. Link to comment
