I have heard its 6 months .After that our status will change back to H4. 2)What will happen if from Oct 1st 2014 , I will not have any project and my employer will not run payroll .Will my status change back to h4. 3)Someone please explain me process for fresh H1B.I am hearing different kind of things that is making me worried. jairichi
1. Zero days. It is employer's duty to fine a project for you and not yours. What you heard is a rumor. Employer has to pay you from the day you report for work. 2. You need to file a complaint against employer with DOL. Link to comment

Without a job H1 cannot be approved, it's clear that your H1 was approved for fake employment and you will be in trouble if you work for that FRAUD employer. Forget about this H1 and next year find a real employer, not a consulting firm. Link to comment
rahul412
who paid for the H1 fees? is it a desi consulting company? It is a consulting company, just take a look at the post. No project but filed for H1, obviously a good employer will not file H1 without a job. Link to comment
