prathima42
Hello I am currently in USA and my visa is expiring this month end. I delivered a baby in USA who is holding a US citizenship. By this month end , I will be leaving to India and will stay for few months and might travel to any other country based on my employer preferences. I would like to know how to maintain my baby citizenship active while we stay outside USA. Does my baby need to report to US consulate every year, is there any process that we need to follow in order to keep his citizenship active so that he doesn't face any challenges and can enter anytime to USA. Please advise. Link to comment

rahul412
Your US born child is US citizen, their is nothing to maintain his status. By LAW he will be US citizen. Link to comment
JoeF
US citizenship doesn't expire if the US citizen is abroad. Nobody can take his US citizenship away. Link to comment
