Help!!! EB category not updated in USCIS database

I have ported my GC from EB3 to EB2 last year and have an approved I-140 with EB2 and confirming my PD date will be EB3 PD date. With the recent EB2 India dates advancement, my PD is current but there was no movement in my case. So raised an SR, got an email saying my case is still in EB3 and USCIS database was not updated and suggested to take infopass and talk to local USCIS office. Has anyone seen this issue before? Does this further delay the process?

Yes, it can delay the process if your I-485 is in the system as EB3. There are general multiple ways to communicate with USCIS to try and get the appropriate changes made. It can take some time before it happens, which is some follow up and attention is needed.
