Required docs for H4 stamping in Hyderabad

Hi All,

My wife will be attending H4 visa interview on 20th July,2011 in Hyderabad. Can someone please tell me what are all the docs we need to submit in advance and what docs we need to bring at the time of interview?

I checked the VFS site (http://hyderabad.usconsulate.gov/advance_doc_submission2.html)and they did not mention what are the required docs need to be submitted for H4 visa stamping specifically.

Please share your H4 visa interview experience if you recently attended the interview in HYD.

I submitted following docs in Hyd VFS center for H4:

1. Employment verification letter

2. DS 160 confirmation

3. HDFC originals

4. Interview appointment letter

5. Passport

6. 1 photo

7. I-797 principal applicant

These are the documents that she/he needs to submit 4 business days prior to the interview.

Copy of passport pages all

DS-160 confirmation page

Original HDFC receipts- both the green receipts for fees paid.

Recent 1 US passport photograph

Copy of VFS interview letter

Copy of I-797

Copy of the letter to USCIS From employer

Client Letter

Experience Letters

Principal Applicant Passport(H1B Holder)(bio page and observation pages)

These are the documents that she/he needs to carry for interview.

Docs from person attending interview:

VFS Interview Appointment Confirmation letter

Passport Original

DS 160 Confirmation letter with CEAC barcode.

Your Photographs(must be the same as submitted once)

HDFC Receipts Photocopy.

Marriage Certificate Original

Wedding Card

Wedding Pics

Flight Itinerary

Degree Certificate Photocopy.

You have to send these Docs:

Photocopy of I – 797.

Photocopy of I- 129

Photocopy of Labour Condition Application(LCA).

Letter from Employer to USCIS(Employment Letter).

Photocopy of Employer Agreement.

Photocopy of Client Letter.

Last 6 months bank statements.

Paystubs all.

Previous W2’s & IT Returns.

passport Photocopy

Latest I-94.

Copy of my Degree Certificate.

Work place photographs.

Copy of I -20’s

Affidavit of support.

Work Experience Letters.

US Firm Registration Documents

US Company’s Tax Return Documents

I believe i'm not missing any docs, if i'm, i'm sure someone will help you out and also i might have added some docs which are not mandatory but its always good to carry those docs.

I've prepared this list of docs for my wife's H4 interview yet to attend. So, please let us know how the interview went. I'm planning to send her to Hyd consulate as well.

My wife's H4 visa docs were submitted yesterday in Hyderabad.As you already aware, we need to submit the docs 3-5 business days in advance in Hyderabad. They took the only the docs that are mentioned in the website and returned the all supporting docs and asked to come for the interview on 20th July with all required and supporting docs. Sorry, I don't have the list. I will try to get it from the person who submitted the docs on behalf of my wife.

I will let you know my wife's H4 visa experience when she is done.

My wife got visa yesterday 19th in Hyd consulate.

1. When did you get married?

2. Where is the marriage?

3. They asked for the tax returns documents.

It went pretty simple.

Just got a call from my wife and told me that her visa got approved.

Questions asked by the interviewer:

1) Where is your husband working?

2) How long he has been working in USA?

3) Can I see his bank statements?

4) Are you planning to work in USA?

5) When did you get married?

Do you work for Big 5 company or E-V-C model. Howz the tred going any sort of major rejections??? Please reply

I work for one of the big company in Telecom domain. Yes, it is E-V-C model. I heard that from my friends that most of H4 and B2 visas being rejected. But, am not sure what extent it is true.

The address on my paystubs is different from the one on bank statements, How does that effect??

Also, please suggest a consulate between Hyd and Chennai( hyd resident) that maximize my chances??

My wife is attending H4 and I have all the required docs, but the addresses on pay stubs and bank stmts is not the same, what could be the possible suggestions to pull of from this situation and Hoe often do they ask for bank statements??

I really do not know if the address is going to make any impact. But, I think, you can request bank manager to issue a bank statement with the new address or the address that you have on pay stubs.

Or request your employer to send the pay stubs with the address you have on statements. I would suggest you to go to Hyd instead of Chennai. It's up to you.All the best..!!!

suggest me what to do....
