bume
My manager has recommended to HR that they start my GC process asap. But the HR is of opinion that there is no immediate need to do so. I am completing my third year on H1B and my stamp is valid until Feb 2017 and I complete my 6th year in Sept 2017. The advantage of starting asap for me is if I complete the I-140 stage I will be eligible for 3 year extension instead of 1 year extension. What are the other advantages of applying early ? What the scenarios which might pose a problem if the process is not started early ? Please help to with any information you may have to help me make a strong case to apply asap. Thank you :) Link to comment
rahul412
By the end of your 6th yr H1, your I140 should be approved. And the whole process will take one year from now. Link to comment
