H4 & H1B Out of status on september. Can she be here till October

Hi,

 

Mine H1B & H4 of my wife will expire by Sep5th 2014. But my wife H1B is approved and her I797 is having the New I 94 from Oct 1st 2014.

 

Can she stay legally till Oct1st 2014. and apply for ssn and do job.

 

Or what are possiilities that she can stay here for 25days legally.

She will have to exit and enter US with a valid H1B visa and I797 not more than 10 days before H1B start date.
