Visiting US during cooling period

I have completed 6yrs in US and now I am in India to reset the cycle. Can I make short visits during cooling period for about 1 week? Will that impact my 1yr of cooling period?

Yes, you can visit for short duration but you will need to add those days to your 1 year cooling off period.

You can make short visits on B1 or B2, but the time in the US doesn't count towards the one year requirement.

I don't have any visa, planning to get US visitor visa. I have to visit US due to some personal matter.
