Getting H1B transferred without I-797

Hi,

 

I signed a contract with a company who applied for my H1B which got approved in May 2014, however, I didn't receive any document, I-797 or I-94, from them. Later, for some reason, they told me that they don't want to continue with our agreement anymore.

 

Now my questions are:

 

Is it possible to get my H1B transferred to any other employer by using just the reference number, EACxxxxxx?

If not then, is there a way to get a copy of I-797 or I-94 without getting the petitioner involved?

 

Any help on the subject matter would be highly appreciated.

Call them and say you need them for your drivers license renewal.
