H1B transfer to new employer

Greetings.

 

One of my friends is in the process of transferring his H1B to a new employer A. He got his case accepted and yet to receive the approval notice.

 

Following are the queries.

 

1. He hasn't applied the visa transfer through premium processing. Can he start working even before getting an update on his status with the employer A.

2. If he starts working with the employer A (yet to receive new approval confirmation) and can he start transferring the visa to a new employer B.

That's not visa transfer, it's petition transfer. Remember, do not join new employer before H1 approval.

1. Yes if he has obtained USCIS receipt notice. But, it is better to wait for approval. What would be his situation if after moving to new employer his H1B transfer is rejected and current employer has revoked his petition?

Also, if he can start processing with employer B. Other than pay slip, will he need any documents from employer A as well.
