Regarding F1 visa and Opt

Hello,

 

      I am currently on h4 visa.

 

I have identified a course in a college, which is a certification program (e.g.,  project management certification) that has 35 credits.

 

As told by the college people, the program is eligible to get F1 visa.

 

I wish to know,if there will be any issue while getting F1 visa / OPT  or OPT Extension , if i proceed with this.

 

Is the F1/OPT/OPT Extn are bound to MS degrees only?

 

Please advise.

For OPT, you should have a degree. Not a certification.

In order to be eligibel for OPT you need to have a degree. Certification would not be of any help and if the major is other than STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) then you would not be eligible for STEM OPT or OPT extension.
