H1B Amendment - Extended approval date!

I do have an approved extended H1B petition valid until June 2016 and in process of getting the H1B amended. During the process I have received a new certified LCA for an extended period until May 2017. I am just curious to know if the amended petition will also have the approval until the may 2017 as per the new LCA or it will retain the June 2016 from my current extended petition.

You will only get until 2016 in this case, to apply for a extension you should have less than six months on your current H1B.
