Transfer of approved petition from out of USA

I had apply for H1b through a local US company ("desi"). My H1B petition is selected in lottery and under process. I am not in US. I am working for a MNC out of US.

 

I want to get the petition transferred from the "desi" company to my current employer (MNC), once it is approved.

 

My question is :

 

1. Can I do that before Oct, say sometime in August, once I get the approval confirmation ?

 

2. What all document will  I have to collect from the "desi" company in such a situation, which will be required to initiate the transfer ?

 

3. Do I need to get the petition from the "desi" company, or just the petition number/ receipt number would be sufficient to initiate the transfer ?
