In India, H1B visa is still valid but passport expired - Can I travel?

I got my H1B visa stamped last year in India, which is valid until March 2016. However, my passport got expired and just got a new passport.

 

I'm in India and never travelled to the US before.

 

or can I still travel with the valid visa I've in my old passport? Is this allowed?

 

 

Could someone kindly let me know how I can transfer the visa stamp to my new passport so I can travel to the US without apprearing the visa interview again?

 

Where should I apply? and who should I contact to get it done?

Your H1B visa is still valid. Whenever you travel have both passports with you.

Your H1b Visa is valid and your stamping in the old passport as well. Carry your old and new passports and submit them at the port of entry.
