abu
Hi, Me ( on H1-B visa)and my wife (dependent H4 visa) came to Dallas, TX on April 2014. My visa is valid till oct-2015. but we got the I-94 only till July 2014 as my passport expires in July month. Now, i got new passport and need to extend both of our I-94. we decided to make a short trip outside US and re-enter. From Texas, which will be the best place to go out and re-enter ? (Mexico / Bahamas / Canada .... ???) after seeing the forums looks like Mexico will be the nearest option for me, but do i need a visitor visa to enter mexico ? which port of mexico do i need to go ? can i visit and re-enter on the same day ? is it by road or air travel ? any one of you tired this option before ? Please can someone give more information and suggestions. we are running out of time. Your help will be very mych appreciated . Thanks in Advance. Link to comment
jairichi
I believe you will not need a Mexico visa if you have a current valid US visa (confirm with others). You can just cross the border and get your new I94. Remember you need to ask for one. Go by road. Link to comment
