urgent - change of name after application fee payment

Hi Members

 

There is discrepancy in names entered for mother-in-law for business visa by me due to my mistake.

Name on Passport: ABC

Name on DS-160: ABC, FNU

Name on application: XYZ, FNU (correct entry should be ABC, FNU)

 

An error occurred due to my mistake as I corrected her name from ABC XYZ to FNU XYZ instead of FNU ABC. Initially I had used XYZ as family name of her in-laws is XYZ.

 

We have already made payment for visa application and are now unable to change name. Please let us know if it possible to correct name now?

 

Did anyone else face similar issue?

Why is not her employer helping her apply for a business visa?  Why are you involved at all?

@t75 - mother-in-law is not employed, so i am helping her

 

@rahul412 - its for visiting visa

 

 

i called up helpline and emailed usatraveldocs, team requested for scanned copy of her passport, team corrected name from their end :-)
