keyurpatel80 Posted June 18, 2014 Report Share Posted June 18, 2014 Hi I am past 6 years period of H1B and I am working for my second employer and H1b is valid till Sep 2016. My I 140 is approved by first employer. My I140 may be withdrawn by my first employer but I am not sure. Online status says I 140 is approved but I can not depend on that status. My current employer situation is financially shaky and I am not sure if they will start my GC process. I would like to go back to my home country for a year or so. My question is, if I choose to go back to my home country, can I look job from there, if I want to come back after 1 year ? Assuming I have more than 1 year left on my h1b ? Can I still do H1b transfer on remaining period of H1b ? Link to comment

But if you are outside the US for one year then you are eligible for fresh 6 yrs of H1. Link to comment
