I-140 GC Questions

Hello all,

I have my I-140 approved under EB2 category. But I work for a typical desi employer (Company A) under EVC model. I got my I-140 approved with 4 years of experience and U.S. masters degree.

Now I need to go to India. But in order to come back I need to get stamped as well. I don't want to take chances with stamping and so planning to take a full-time with my client. But my client doesn't sponsor GC.

I want to switch over to my client and the thing I wanna know about is that can I convince my current employer (company A) to hold my I-140. My priority date is April 2010 and it has been more than 6 months since my I-140 was approved. Can I request him not to cancel my GC so that if and when the date becomes current I can come back and work for him on EAD. I still have more than 2 years left on my H1B.

Basically I am in kind of a dilemma as to whether look for a full time position or go for stamping with current employer? Your suggestions or comments are welcome.
