vananth3
Hello all,I graduated with a Master's degree in May 2014. I had applied for OPT extension on March 28 2014 and had to leave the US owing to some personal reasons before receiving the EAD card. I read that I can enter the US with my I-797 notice of action, Job offer and a valid F-1, if my OPT case status is still pending by the time I meet the IO at the POE. But I have other concerns. I will be leaving on a Sunday and reaching my POE in the US, Monday afternoon. My concern is that, what if my status changes from Pending to approved on Monday morning ? Will I be required to produce my EAD card ? Given that fact that it will take at least 4 days for EAD to reach my US address from USCIS after approval ? Help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks ! t75
Why are you applying for an extension when you just graduated? Another odd timing. Link to comment
vananth3
I am sorry ! My bad. It was OPT. (The 12 month OPT) not the STEM extension. Link to comment
