Raj1900 Posted June 9, 2014 Report Share Posted June 9, 2014 Hi Currently i am EAD Status (H1 B Expired), Company A as filed my green card and i am currently working full time with them. i got a small temporary part time consulting work from company B (working only in weekends). Company B said they can pay me on 1099. I am still going to work with Company A full time. Can i work with company B directly ? will this effect my green card processing ? are there any risks involved ? Thanks Raj Link to comment

But, your employment contract with company A may prohibit you from working somewhere else without written approval of company A. Lots of companies have such language in their employment contracts nowadays, one reason being that they don't want their employees working for a competitor on the side. Link to comment
