Planning to apply F1 by this month.. My doubts here are 1) I have to go to my home country between June-July . Is it good to come back on f2 visa while f1 is in processing??? 2) I will pay sevis , will it be activated immediately after approval?? Anyone who had this type of experiance please reply.. Thanks in advance. If you have applied for COS from F2 to F1 it is suggested to avoid travel. If you travel before COS to F1 approval it means your COS application is considered abandoned. Later if you enter on F2 visa then to be on F1 status you either need to exit and enter US on F1 visa or file again COS. Link to comment
