Visa Status - No response from USCIS on H1B status

Hello All,

 

I am currently on OPT which is expiring in June 2014. I have filed for my H1B this year but so far haven't heard from USCIS (assuming it did not get picked up in lottery). I haven't received any packet or document stating the same from USCIS. I am planning to apply for my MBA for fall of 2014 - but that will not start until Sept 2014.

Will I be out of status during this period - June to Sept?

If your employer has not received H1B application packet back from USCIS you might still have a chance. You have 60 days grace period after completion of OPT to exit US. Admission for fall in universities is long over.

You cannot get admission within in one month.

I guess you need to enter on F1 when the school starts.

You are better off, IMO, getting real work experience at home rather than another masters.
