asawhney Posted May 24, 2014 Report Share Posted May 24, 2014 I was in the US from Oct 2007 to Nov 2013 on H1B visa. I have about 11 Months remaining on this visa. Since the normal validity of visa is 6 years, does this mean that my employer can only use this visa as cap exempt before Oct 31st 2014 and after Oct 2014 the visa can not be used at all. In other words does the cap exempt status is only valid for the period of 6 years from the the time the visa was first filed? Link to comment
