Svee
We are planning a trip out of country to visit parents in India. I applied for 2 year combo EAD- AP card. On the card, my first name and last name is correct ( matches against the passport). But my middle name is printed as a initial.I raised as SR# with the DHS & they sent me an email that they have the correct name on the system.ANy concerns?...Are there any issues at the airport( ticketing, immigration ) at India? How can i get this corrected? Should i re-apply for the AP alone? Infopass appointment? May be a letter from Infopass? Planning a travel this summer..For instance:First name : Tom ( is correct)Last name : Harry ( is correct)Middle Name: Jack ( Only "J" is on the combo card). Thanks In advance Link to comment

Svee
Thanks for all the replies. Rephrasing this again, with the "Given Name concept" after looking at the passport.... sorry, if i was not clear. Just want to double confirm. The Indian passport does not call out middle name explicitly. All they say is GIVEN NAME (which is a combination of FIRST NAME + MIDDLE NAME).........whereas EAD-AP has the concept of Last name and Given Name. So, in my case the given name does not match 100 percent. 1. So, Am i still good to travel? 2. Again would the tickets have to be booked with the passport name in mind? or AP Name in mind? MY guess is passport name.. Correct? Thanks in advance. Link to comment

JoeF
In the US, it is common to show the middle initial only in documents. The "given name" is always just the first name. As long as the middle initial matches the second given name (called the middle name in the US), you are fine. Link to comment
