H1B renewal before Expiry, and stamping

Hello,

 

My current h1b Expires Sep 2014, I am filing h1 renewal this month, Can some body help clarify few things.

 

1. Will the start date on renewed approval be after the expiry of current?
2. I have never been to stamping, can i go for stamping before sep 2014(expiry of current h1)  with approved renewal?
3. If 2, is yes, how will be my stamping, will it be given based on the expiry of current h1 or renewed h1?

 

Please help me understand.
