Is it possible to stay on I94 of expired L1B visa if H1B petition is rejected?

I am currently staying on I94(Valid till Jan 2016) of my expired L1B(Expired Jan 2014).

The same employer has filed for H1B in April 2014. In case my H1B gets rejected, can I stay in the US till the term of my expired L1b's I94?

Yes, as long as your L1B petition and I94 is valid.
