Moving to L2 EAD- old EAD via AOS still valid

Hi, I have an existing EAD as part of my AOS application. However, this EAD permits me to work under a specific technical job profile only. I recently moved on to an L2 status. An EAD via L2 will give me the flexibility to work in any job profile.

My question: While filing the EAD application under the L2 profile, should I be requesting this a 'Permission to accept new employment' or ' Renewal of my permission to accept employment'. I can find arguments for both, especially since question 11 asks for the detials of EAD card, if you have previously applied for one.

This might be a unique situation. If anybody has any insight, I would greatly appreciate it.
