H4-visa holder with Pending H1B Application: Should I travel to India?

I am currently on H4 visa and my application for H1 is under processing for this year i.e. 2014. I want to travel India in MAY and come back in MAY. Do you suggest that I should travel? If yes, will it hamper my H1b in any case??

If you travel before H1B approval then your COS part of H1B petition is considered abandoned. To start working from Oct 1st you would need to exit and enter with a H1B visa and I797.

I don't really know the answer to your question. But I am also H4 t H1 and my application is picked in the lottery?

 

What is your H1b case like? 

 

1) Consultant or regular employer?

2) IT or Non-IT background?

3) Do you a client letter for position starting in October ?
