h1b amendment and citizenship change

Hi,

 

I would really appreciate if anyone can answer the following questions .

 

1) I am already on h1 in the US and my client changed , so, my h1 petition needs to be amended. 

   I am planning to get citizenship of germany and will be travelling there.

    After new passport is issued, I have to go to us embassy in germany to get h1 stamp on it .

    Does my employer need to amend the h1 petition again with the new passport number before I can go to stamping ?

Does anybody know whether h1 amendment is needed with the new passport number before going stamping with the new passport ?

 

Your help is appreciated if anybody had this type of case before.
