H1B approved but not stamped

Hi,

 

My company had applied H1B for me in 2006 and the petition was approved. Due to a change of project within the same organization, i could not get the visa stamped or travel at that time.

 

Just wanted to check if this visa will still hold valid for me now. I am still with the same organization. 

 

On the USCIS website, I can see the status of the case as "On September 26, 2006, the appropriate American Consulate or port of entry was notified of the approval of this case. Please contact them directly if you need more information."

You don't have H1 visa, you have H1 approval(797).
