Change client while h1 extension is in process

Hi, My h1 extension is filed with uscis and I have to change client. I am working with well known big IT company and work for a client (meaning it is not multi layer vendor/client structure). Could you please explain in detail, is it possible that if RFE comes, then my visa extension can be denied because the response to RFE would include new client details. Please answer asap. Of course that might happen. If your get an RFE about the client, then you got a problem.
