Now i applied for h1b on april 1st under regular process. Still lottery haven't started yet. I need to go india on may 9th on emergency purpose can i travel to india or do i will face any port of entry problems please suggest me . Link to comment

But, the COS part of H1B petition would be considered abandoned. To start working on 1st Oct 2014 you would need to exit and enter US with a valid H1B visa and I797. Link to comment
