In 2008 i got H1b with company A, i received copy of I-797A. My employer couldn't place me. So, i went back to H4 visa, since then i am on H4. Is it possible to trigger the old H1 B or should i apply new H1. Kindly let me know!! Link to comment

New employer can file a cap exempt H1B petition with COS to H1B anytime and on approval you can start working for employer. Link to comment
