I have i797 dated 2008 and never went for stamping. Few consultants saying possible to transfer is this correct

One consultant called fugen it applied my self sponsored h1b and I got i797 in 2008. But that company owner ran away and I didn't went for stamping. Now few consultants asking me to get transfered h1b and wanted to know is this still valid. Checked immigration website it says post process. Nothing there to say valid or invalid id.

Stay away from consultants. A new employer can file a cap exempt H1B petition.
