aarthi87 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Share Posted March 25, 2014 Hi All,I was supposed to graduate Dec 13, and in anticipation of that, I got my "Apply for OPT" i-20 from my DSO in Nov 13.But I soon realized that I wont be graduating in Dec. Hence, I DID NOT APPLY for OPT.I registered for 1 more sem, but did not notify my DSO about this whole thing.My original i-20 is good until Aug 14, but the OPT i-20 expired in Dec 13.Now, does this mean that I am out of status?Please help.Thanks,Aarthi Reddy Link to comment

Also, I doubt that your OPT is gone. Talk to an attorney asap. Link to comment
F1struggle Posted March 26, 2014 Report Share Posted March 26, 2014 Well, you need to update your DSO. Tell the DSO that you could not graduate and forgot to withdraw your OPT. Check if you can re-apply in May 2014. Link to comment
