OPT issues from F1 -> H1 -> F1

Hi,

 

I was in a PhD program (under F1), quit the program towards the end of it for personal reasons, and used up the OPT from the MS degree I got along the way to my PhD. I'm now working full time with H1 and want to do a status transfer from H1 to F1 to go back to school and complete my thesis. My question now is, if I do this status transfer, will I still be eligible for an OPT after completion of my PhD?

 

I know this is messed up (and I was a mess) so please no judgements.

How could you have used OPT after you started your PhD?  I think you need to discuss your situation with an attorney if you did indeed break your MS OPT with additional study.
