PRaj
I just move to USA and I'm holding F2 visa (F1 dependent visa), I used to work as a freelancer since 2009 via reputed online web site . and my account is registered to my home country (not for USA) on that site. My question is , will I be able to continue my freelance work wile I'm live in USA ? Link to comment
catx
In a word, no. A F-2 visa does not allow any authorized employment, which includes freelance work. It does not matter where the account is registered, where the money goes, etc. If you are in the U.S. doing the work, then you are working in the U.S. Link to comment
t75
NO. On F2 you may NOT work for anyone, including yourself. Link to comment
HelpMeForum
It will be illegal to earn any sort of money while in US. Link to comment

simk
I have heard that many people are doing this.. even though it is illegal. They simply give the direct deposit on one of their relative's name and work on their name, while working and living in USA on F2/H4 Link to comment

It is also tax evasion. ANd if people think USCIS is bad, they haven't had to deal with IRS... The bottom line: NEVER NEVER NEVER do this kind of stuff! Link to comment
