When to expect AP

Good Day.

I have been going through this forum and seems like the approvals and card production are different for different cases.

We applied our I485 in June 2011. We received our FP notice and the FP is on July 30, 2011. We are not sure whether to do an early walk-in. Does AP approval and card production depend on Biometrics? Does doing an early walk-in biometrics help in speeding up EAD/AP approval.

The EAD and AP can generally take up to 3 months to get approved. Doing an early walk-in for the biometrics does not necessarily speed up issuance of the EAD or AP.

The I-485 application cannot be approved nor the Permanent Resident Card issued until the biometrics have been completed and the background check and name check have cleared.
