varre_v
Hello Gurus, What happens if the nationality changes after the H1B petition, i.e. I-797 is approved? Do we need to inform USCIS and get a new petition issued with the new nationality and passport number? I have a situation here and need your advise....I am planning to apply for H1B this year. My current nationality is Indian and I am having Indian Passport. So, I will be applying for H1B using Indian nationality and Indian Passport details. I will be soon becoming a British citizen in about 3 months time and I will be surrendering my Indian passport after I get the British Passport. So, wondering what to do...... Link to comment
JoeF
Nothing happens. The person is the same. H1s are not specific to a nationality (and neither is a GC, btw, there the country of birth matters.) Link to comment
