polishedhalo Posted February 18, 2014 Report Share Posted February 18, 2014 I am on OPT and it expires in May 2014, My employer(board of education) where I am currently working has decided to file my cap exempt h1b this month, and mentioned the start date as December 2014 for my new higher position(currently I am an Intern and my internship program here ends in December), my OPT expires in May 2014, If my h1b is approved, on what status will I be until December 2014? My employer(CPS) is not enrolled in E-Verify, so I cannot apply for an OPT extenstion. Please advise. Link to comment
