Working for less hours on H1

Can I work for less than 40hours a week being on H1?  I am not talking about multiple jobs...its just that I am trying to find out if I have the option to work for say 100hours a month?

 

What are the rules around it?  What is the risk involved?

It is possible to have an H1 for part-time work. The employer would have to amend the LCA accordingly.

u have to maintain min wages to qualify for H1 and on H1 it doesn't matter how many less hrs that you have worked.

there is a min wage not sure how much it is. check that once. i believe its 60K

Sorry, but that's wrong.

On H1, a person has to get paid at least the prevailing wage for the job in the region where the job is located. The prevailing wage differs based on job and region, there is no "one size fits all" number.

For a part-time H1, that would be prorated, of course, i.e., if a person works 20 hours/week, the prevailing wage would be half of the full-time prevailing wage.

And the person has to earn enough money to actually be able to live on.
