jonnasn
Can I work for less than 40hours a week being on H1? I am not talking about multiple jobs...its just that I am trying to find out if I have the option to work for say 100hours a month? What are the rules around it? What is the risk involved? Thanks in Advance. Link to comment
JoeF
It is possible to have an H1 for part-time work. The employer would have to amend the LCA accordingly. Link to comment

On H1, a person has to get paid at least the prevailing wage for the job in the region where the job is located. The prevailing wage differs based on job and region, there is no "one size fits all" number. For a part-time H1, that would be prorated, of course, i.e., if a person works 20 hours/week, the prevailing wage would be half of the full-time prevailing wage. And the person has to earn enough money to actually be able to live on. Link to comment
