Maiden Name To Marriage Name

Hello Forum

My wife and I are on H1b. My wife came to US on H4 and applied for a H1b and is approved and is working for a company A. 

She has her maiden name on her SSN, H1b and Indian passport. I am applying for a reissue of my passport for 10 years. I would like to add spouse name in my passport and my name in her passport.

Her Marriage certificate still shows her Maiden Name and will like that to be changed to marriage name so that the new passport will have the marriage name.

is that a good option or retain it as it is?  If we can change:

I am little confused about the approach that needs to be taken:-

1) Should I go with her passport change first to change maiden to married name?
2) Do i need to apply for a change on her H1b petition.? is it required or the passport and marriage certificate enough to validate?
3) How do I go about her SSN?
4) After above steps are done can I add her changed name in my passport.

Can you please let me know if these are the right steps and any suggestions?
