H1B extension peding BC.....I-94 expired...what are my options?

Hi All,

 

My H1b got expired and and extension is under intial review, got the confirmation from my attorney taht it is undergoing background check now...don't know how long does it take to complete the BC process...

 

1. During this period can I change my employer, I mean to transfer to different employer?

 

2. or file for new H1B in April 2015 , even though my 1st H1B's extension is still in initial review?

 

 

please suggest me some options to be in status....

 

 

I know tht I can work 240 days from the H1B's expiration day.
