pb4900
Hi all, I am currently in my 5th year of my H1-B, and looking for a job to start in July 2014. 1. If I sign up with an employer who files for my green card, if I decide to leave after few years or if there is a conflict and there is termination of contract by employer, and I have to change jobs (while my green card is still pending), - What happens to my green card? - Does it go back to starting line? - If not, do I need to get a letter or something from my previous employer to make sure that my green card file remains active? - Does my previous employer have privileges to cancel my green card application filed by them? 2. As I will be left with only 1 more year of my H1-B visa when I start my job, will have enough time to get my I-140 approved to get my next H1-B approval in time before July 2015 (especially given the recent scenario where the Perm is taking up to 9 months in most cases) I will really appreciate your help... Thank you.. Link to comment
jairichi
1. If employer withdraws GC petition then you are back to start line. 2. Doubtful but can't say for sure. Link to comment
